About Littlestown
Littlestown is a community of just over 4000 citizens located in Adams County in south central Pennsylvania just north of the Maryland border. Settled first in 1765 by Peter Klein, the borough was first named "Petersburg," changing officially to Littlestown in 1795.
Littlestown was originally an agricultural community, but over time industry became an important part of its economy. In recent years it has become a great place to call home for those commuting to Washington, DC, Baltimore, Harrisburg, and York. With three larger towns, Hanover, Gettysburg, and Westminster, MD, within 15 miles, Littlestown residents need not go far to enjoy the ammenities of a larger community yet maintain a hometown residence.
